I collect a crazy lot of things (books, mugs, matchbooks, posters, bottlecaps, all things Tolkien…) and occasionally some collection or other outgrows its alloted space. Added to which, I am going to move soon, so it would be good to thin out several collections beforehand. It hadn’t in fact occurred to me that I collected these; but here they are, unopened, never used, MIP, NWOT and in MINT condition! (no mint flavoring included). The plastic packages all have their original glossy outer coatings, no tears, no stains on the paper covers.

While cleaning her house post Hurricane Katrina, my friend stumbled across this unusual item (no, she didn’t stumble because it was hers and she wasn’t wearing it). She had roughly thirteen feet of water in her house, but obviously someone had “one foot” less! It comes complete with the original shoe and sock, and boy did Katrina “shoe” her away and “sock” it to her! We looked high and low, but could not find the “sole” owner of this prosthetic. So here it is. On the “last leg” of it’s journey. I debated keeping it as the ultimate Katrina keepsake, but have decided to offer it up for sale here so that the proceeds may go to my friend to help rebuild her house and life in New Orleans. FEMA (or should I say FEMUR?) and her insurance company did not treat her well. I am relying on a generous bidder to make things at least a little easier on her.

What you are looking at is genuine Iraqi sand from deep within one of the country’s endless deserts. Now, this isn’t the flashy grain sand you see on NBC or CNN, this is the lowest common denominator of soil. The sand gets into everything causing equipment to malfunction as well as making miserable living conditions for the troops. Yes, the sands of Iraq seem to mirror their Iraqi insurgent counter-parts in what appears to be their united attempt to forcibly remove the harbingers of democracy.

But the brave U.S. soldiers do not yield against their legion of enemies. The thought of the billions of tiny grains of sand, all plotting ways to threaten the U.S. soldiers makes them fight even harder to rid this country of every grain of insurgent sand until Iraq is “sand-less.”. Only then can democracy truly prevail.

I have a problem. As a Canadian that never grew up following football, and considering that our country sucks at it and isn’t in the world cup. I don’t know who to cheer for! Are you a German fan that would rather pour out your beer than have someone else cheer for Italy, would an Italian rather give up wine than have me cheer for Germany. Are you an Argentina fan that would rather eat dirt than have someone else cheer for Brazil? Are you a Brazilian fan that would rather poke out your eyes than see another Argentina fan?

The story behind this marvel is quite interesting, and to this day I still do not fully understand how or why this phenomenon occurs.

I came across this piece of artwork at a convention I was attending in Ohio. The convention was unrelated, it was a business trip. At one of the vendor’s stands I noticed many ceramic figures, mostly human heads, in the background of one of his advertisement photographs. The photo was taken in his home, and these were obviously decorations that just happened to be in the background. They caught my eye, however, and I inquired about them.

This is all I could collect of some extremely rare “Angel Hair” that fell from the sky on October 24, 2003 in Western Kentucky near Paducah. There is no definitive explanation of what this stuff actually is.
There are documented reports of Angel Hair falls going back hundreds of years.
